The beginning of a new year is always exciting, Gives a fresh start with new opportunities waiting for you. It means you lived and survived all the adversities of the past year and you have a new calendar to reach your goals.
A lot of people follow the tradition of asking for the wanted wishes the last night of the Year and making the resolutions for the New Year.
Here some tips to help you achieve your New Year’s resolution.
The first step in Goals setting is to be realistic. Long term goals are usually the hardest to accomplish, it is recommended to start small. Make a list of short term goals that will help you accomplish your long term goal.
Determine the action
It is very important in goals settings to determine the action that will help you reach your goal. For sample, If you want to get a little more in shape write down the weight you want, set date and time you intend to reaching your goal, then next to it write what actions you are going to take toward your goal.
You can write – By March 30, 2016 I weight 190 pounds as example Action, Exercise more going to the gym 3 times a week, eating healthy “start a new diet. Then you can make a calendar with the dates and time of your exercise, as well as managing your new diet.
Add images and keep the list where you can see it every day and night adding images to your goals will motivate you more to work harder.
Do not give up
Believe in yourself and do not get discouraged. If you miss a day or even a month because you got to busy with work, the family or you just need to push yourself a little more you always can start again, maintain a positive attitude toward what you want.
Reward yourself every time you reach a little step, or weekly goal, give yourself credit for it.
